PB-I

PB I is a solid solution strengthened copper alloy (bronze) with 4 % tin. It combines very good cold workability and high strength, is corrosion resistant, can be very well soft and hard soldered and, in addition, still has good electrical conductivity. It is used in applications where great importance is attached to the combination of conductivity and strength.

Typical Uses:

Automotive

Components of electrical engineering

Connectors

Clamp ports

Clamp-Connections

Lead frames

Relays- and conductor Springs

Spring rings

Pressure gauge Springs

Retaining Clamps

PB-II

PB II is a solid solution strengthened copper alloy (bronze) with 5 % tin. Its higher tin content compared with PB I results in higher strength and springiness. It is used whenever the emphasis is on the combination of conductivity and strength. PB II has excellent cold-workability and can be readily soldered.

Typical Uses:

Automotive

Components of electrical Engineering

Connectors

Spring rings

Frame connectors

Retaining Clamps

Relays- and conductor Springs

Switch springs

PB-III

PB III is a solid solution strengthened copper alloy (bronze) with 6% tin. Its higher tin content imparts high strength and springiness to the metal. Its adequate conductivity makes it particularly interesting for springy conductive components. It is wear-resistant, has very good corrosion resistance and can be readily soldered. Due to the high strength and springiness and good workability, CuSn6 is used for all types of springs as well as for flexible metal hoses. In addition, it is applied in the paper, pulp, textile and chemical industries, as well as in shipbuilding, mechanical engineering and process equipment manufacture

Typical Uses:

Automotive

Components of electrical Engineering

Connectors

Springs

Contact springs

PB-IV

PB IV is a solid solution strengthened copper alloy with 8% tin (bronze). It is therefore the highest alloyed phosphor bronze. This is apparent in the high strength combined with still adequate conductivity. In addition, it has better corrosion resistance and good sliding properties. PB IV is used for springy components and sliding elements when increased strength and wearresistance are required.

Typical Uses:

Automotive

Components of electrical Engineering

Connectors

Frame

Relays- and conductor Springs

Retaining Clamps

Spring rings

Slide bearings
